Data safety

The Data safety form tells people what the app collects, why it is collected and how it is protected. Every answer must match the app's real behaviour and the privacy policy.

Data collected

  • Email address and account information, used for account management, not for advertising
  • Conversation messages, used to provide the conversation itself
  • Device or other identifiers, used for app functionality and diagnostics, exact identifiers to be confirmed
  • Usage and diagnostic data, used for analytics and troubleshooting

To be confirmed

  • Location data: declare only if the app truly collects it, and state the purpose; otherwise leave it undeclared
  • Data shared with third parties, including identity data processed by Google Sign-In, must match what the app actually does
  • Data transmitted encrypted: to be confirmed against the live backend configuration

Nothing in this form may be declared that the app does not actually do.

Deletion and requests

Deletion requests are supported: people can ask for their conversations or account to be removed, and can contact hi@hazychat.com.

Consistency check

This form, the privacy policy page and the app's actual data handling must all say the same thing. If a new SDK is added, all three must be updated together.
